I wanted something doable but longer than a week so I choose 14 days. Scholars believed the journey would have taken between 4-7 days, covering about 70-100 miles. So for our family I doubled the estimated number given by scholars and every two days represents a single day they would have traveled. The least amount of time I would suggest to do this activity is 3 days before Christmas.

Remind the child/children that its our job to help them get to the stable and don’t want them to lose their way. So they can look or touch but if they get moved they have a chance of getting misplaced or lost.

This activity is aimed toward children starting at age 1-13. However there is any age limit for fun at Christmas time so if your child is still enjoying the tradition and having fun carry on
